The difference between an okay paint job and a flawless one almost always comes down to prep. Here's the process our team follows on every interior repaint.
1. Protect the space. We move or cover furniture, mask trim and fixtures, and lay down drop cloths so your floors and belongings stay clean.
2. Clean the surface. Dust, grease, and grime keep paint from bonding. We wipe down walls so the new coat has a clean surface to grip.
3. Patch and repair. Nail holes, dents, cracks, and drywall damage all get patched, taped, and sanded smooth. This is where drywall skills really pay off.
4. Sand and prime. We sand patched areas flush and prime bare spots and repairs so the finish coat goes on even, with no flashing or dull patches.
Only then do we paint — and because the surface is right, the finish looks smooth and lasts for years. Want it done right the first time? Call Dana Residential Painting at (818) 731-7632 for a free estimate.
